Inside Sales Specialist - MRO/PVF

Job description

The role of the Inside Specialist is to grow DNOW revenues by converting enquiries from our customers in the oil and gas sector in Azerbaijan for maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) and PVF materials into Purchase Orders by effectively and quickly sourcing vendors, pricing materials and quoting to our customers.

Specifically, their responsibilities include:

• Receive enquiries from customers/buyers and understand their requirements
• Source the products required (either from stock, from local suppliers, or from international suppliers) and get vendor quotations
• Prepare cost estimates for the logistics of shipping the materials to our customers
• Prepare, and follow-up, customer quotations  
• Receive the customer PO and create a Sales Order
• Place orders with suppliers and follow-up until the materials are received in our Atyrau facility
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure the materials are dispatched to the customer on-time
• Invoice the customer and assist with payment follow-up where required

This process is largely carried out in an ERP (1C) so in addition to technical knowledge of oil and gas maintenance, repair and operations materials (pipes, valves and fittings, flanges, industrial electrical products,  OEM spare parts, maintenance supplies) products, a high level of computer literacy and fluency in English language is required.
The role of the Inside Sales person is office-based and will suit someone who thrives on delivering sales results in an office environment.

Desired Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates with a technical diploma or degree (preferably mechanical related and with more than 5 years experience in as Inside Sales and/or Warehouse Supervisor and/or  Material Management and/or MRO Category Buyer and/or junior mechanical & electrical design engineerand/or  Inventory Planner and/or Materials Management role with an international company in, or supporting, the oil and gas industry with a focus on pipes, valves and fittings (PVF) in order to have a good understanding of MRO and PVF materials used in the oil and gas industry
