Amec Foster Wheeler is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for Construction Engineer (National)

The successful candidates should have the following capabilities:

• To demonstrate capabilities having successfully executed similar projects
• Must be able to work within and manage teams of multi-discipline and multi-cultural personnel
• Displays positive safety attitude
• To have a good understanding of construction design, combined with an ability to fit design to deliverable
• Must understand inter-discipline relationships
• Computer literate

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities are understood and adhered to
• Manage all daily work of construction workpack compilation in line with schedules
• To Liaise with the design team to ensure constructability input is built into the design and that the detail design is installation friendly and in line with the construction priorities
• To liaise with the planning engineer, report progress against the plan,
• Ensures that relevant  project  procedures have been read and understood within area of work
• To study and asses the relevant drawings, specifications and instructions for specific area of responsibility within the multi-discipline Workpacks and Job card as per Norms.
• To verify that the drawings and specifications provide adequate instructions for the work and advise the Project Engineer of any deficiencies or clarifications needed
• To ensure that all work is to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspections and certifications are adhered to in accordance with ECMS QMS
• To review, in co-operation with the Construction Coordinator and agree the overall construction related programme including sub contractors programmes. To identify any problem areas in the programmes, discuss with the Construction Coordinator and agree a solution
• To ensure that construction sub-contractors programmes are produced and monitored in accordance with the requirements of the contract
• To ensure, before any work commences, that all items of material, plant, equipment, scaffolding etc required are available to avoid abortive and unproductive use of labour
• To assist with Coordination and maintain  contact and a good working relationship with the AMEC Senior Supervisor at site or offshore and sub contract site representatives
• To be full familiar with sub-contractors methods of construction, programming and procedures and to resolve any apparent conflicts
• To ensure, before any variation of work is carried out by a sub-contractor that an authorised instruction is given by the Construction Coordinator / Project Engineer
• To constantly strive to obtain maximum productivity and economical use of labour
• Input to and support the Construction Coordinator to check, verify  construction estimates
• To ensure that all AMEC systems of Quality Assurance are adhered to and assist the Project Quality Manager  in the implementation of the Quality Management System
• Assist with information/query’s requested by onshore engineers
• To compile and where relevant review and sign off construction workpacks ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and ensure construction workpacks are compiled to the highest standards
• To ensure auditable trail of workpack production and status
• To input to and where relevant, chair Constructability reviews and manage the close out of actions
• To attend and input to Design Review where required
• To chair workpack, desktop and state of readiness reviews
• To ensure the tracking of manhours in accordance with the Job card Approval Process
• To ensure offshore construction surveys and reports are carried out when required
• Comment on and co-ordinate input of offshore comments to construction workpacks.
• Manage the implementation of offshore construction performance measures and milestone targets
• Coordinate offshore & site activities and provide support to Construction Teams
• Plan all site activities at job card level and liaise with the planning teams to develop level 4 construction plans
• To Assist with Management of offshore POB and resourcing
