ATL TECH (www.atltech.az) was established in 2013 and operates in the field of information and communication technologies. Despite being a young company, our employees have professional experience in information technology, telecommunications, banking and finance, state and private companies, etc. During its activity, our company laid down the cooperation with the international organizations, such as Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, HP.
Currently we are looking for a Technical Writer. The successful candidate will work within our Developer team, working alongside other developers. As a developer you will design and build software and modules for large enterprise systems, participate in centralization, automation of business processes and integration with current systems.
Key responsibilities
• Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation;
• Study product samples and talk with product designers and developers;
• Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions;
• Organize and write supporting documents for products;
• Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding;
• Select appropriate medium for message or audience, such as manuals or online videos;
• Standardize content across platforms and media;
• Gather usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers;
• Revise documents as new issues arise.
Key skills
• Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation;
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail;
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures;
• Excellent written skills in English;
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development;
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred;
• Two years' experience in engineering;
• Document core product and customer solution-specific code;
• Document programming methodologies and toolkit use;
• Develop and maintain user-training materials;
• Create a documentation methodology and framework;
• Develop online help screens.
